What an amazing teacher! She inspired me and to press on and perfect my technique with and interpretation in music throughout the period of common practice, and I'm blessed to have had her instruction. She encouraged me to compete and play with chamber groups, orchestras, and accompanying singers. Even when I thought I was not making the cut, she always encouraged me and treated me like a real musician, and I perform right up through this day. I took lessons with her 4 years from 1990-1994, weekly. I owe my love of Ravel to Professor Mary Louse Hallauer.
