About Me
Marcia is a Nationally Certified Music Teacher who began her formal musical training in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, at the age of 12. She earned two degrees in Music Education and Piano Performance, graduating with honors from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN. In addition to piano performance and education, her experience includes twelve years of classroom teaching in elementary and secondary music, choir, band, orchestra, music theory, and music history. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association as the Vice President of Piano Contests for the state and also as Technology Chair. Currently she is Chair of the Judge Education and Certification Committee and founder and president of the Northwest Suburban Local Music Teachers Association. In addition to MMTA she is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
