About Me
Teacher has training and teaching experience teaching children and adults of all ages so no need for gimmicks or short cuts. I want to produce students who play accurately and wonderfully expressively. I want them to be independent enough to figure out how to play familiar as well as unfamiliar music, both by ear and through reading musical notation. I want them to be intelligent musicians, able to understand and describe music they are hearing.
Thank you for your interest in my studio, and feel free to contact me if you would like more information. You must have a piano or full size 61 keys keyboard to take piano lessons.
My Musical Education Background
I began studying piano at the age of seven and organ at the age of 17. I have held numerous positions as a church and choral accompanist and have played for church canatas, weddings, funerals and recitals.
I received my training and educational degrees at Tift College and Wesleyan College in Georgia followed by Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky. I have taught piano since 1992 privately and in music studios.
