About Me
Emily Fransen is a senior at Loyola University majoring in Music Industry Studies with emphasis on Vocal Performance and Piano Performance. She was awarded a music scholarship to Loyola in 2004 and has studied voice with Mona Bond and piano with Jac McCracken while attending Loyola University. Past accolades include: The 2003-2004 annual Irving Carr award for Musical Excellence awarded by the Junior Philharmonic Society of New Orleans, Junior Philharmonic winner in both voice and piano, and 5-time performer in the LFMC Honors Recital. She has performed for both the Trinity Artist Series and the annual Bach Around the Clock celebration. Prior to her college career, Emily studied piano with local teachers, Lynn Celestin and Peggy Fransen. She has 18 years of performance experience and has been teaching private piano lessons for 5 years. She is a member of several professional music organizations including the Louisiana Federation of Music Clubs, the Metairie Music Club and the Junior Philharmonic Society of New Orleans. Her students participate in the LFMC Festival and the Junior Philharmonic Competition where they have consistently earned high marks. She has enjoyed the two years that she has been teaching at Hall Piano Company and looks forward to many more.
