About Me
If you are reading this, I assume that you are about to embark into a wonderful journey into the world of music! Having the ability to perform is one of the greatest gifts one could have!
My name is Adam, and I would love to take this opportunity to tell you about myself. I currently teach private students of all ages and levels in New Jersey and Staten Island. I am open minded to all sorts of styles, and I teach with an easy going and understanding style as my students work at their own pace. My students have goals ranging from being able to enjoy making music to making this part of their profession, and it is my goal to help them accomplish theirs.
Some of my students have performed with prestigious groups including the Metropolitan Opera Children's Choir, New Jersey's All State Choir, and New Jersey Youth Chorus.
I am a NJ certified music teacher, and have worked as an elementary and middle school music teacher for New Jersey Public Schools for over 7 years. In these positions I have taught general music, piano class, voice class, choir, drama, music theory, music history, and even hand-bells.
Aside from my teaching, I am also an active opera performer. I am starting my third season at the Metropolitan Opera where I will be singing in their production of Ernani, which will be part of the "Live in HD Series" and will be broadcasted live into movie theaters all over the world. I will also be singing the role of the Messenger in Aida.
I most recently returned from the Met's tour in Japan as the Herald in their production of Don Carlo. Last season I also sang in the Met's productions of Magic Flute, and Simon Boccanegra. as well as Fanciulla del West, which was also part of last season's Live in HD.
Previously, I have been a part of the Met's production of Simon Boccanegra starring Placido Domingo/conducted by James Levine and in their production of Aida. Both of these productions have been part of the Live in HD Series, played on radio and televised (PBS). Both of these productions were also released last year on to DVD. I have performed in many other venues, including at Carnegie Hall, 92nd Street YMCA, with Opera New Jersey, Chautauqua Opera and many others.
Do not fear though, because even though I have an active performing schedule, I always make time for my students!
Enought about me though...... Let's talk about you!
