About Me

 Jazz Pianist, Vocalist, Educator, Wife, Mother..... I have been teaching since age 15. I discovered early on that I have natural gift to teach, coach, mentor, and inspire. Ironically, I embody a mixture of my parents and their careers. My mother was a public school teacher (teacher of the year twice in her career). My father was an exceptional guidance counselor.  I earned a B. A. degree in piano performance (from Spelman College, Atlanta, GA), and certification to teach voice (Certified Throga Instructor). I have an intuitive gift for relating well to others in general and understanding how they learn and supporting them in breaking through any perceived limitations. I can effectively break down musical concepts, and coach students on how to practice and perform. I inspire students to own their creative expressions. I give you the teachings, tools, guidance, and accountability so you can realize your musical potential, all while thoroughly enjoying the process.
