About Me
Angela E. Linhardt is a pianist/free lance musician/ instructor currently maintaining a private piano studio in Annapolis, Md.
As an instructor, I am interested in working w/students who are motivated and disciplined. While I use a classical approach to learning to play the piano, I also entertain other musical genres that students may be interested in pursuing.
I require parental involvement at lessons for youngsters, especially beginners and parental supervision at home during practice. Students who have this support excel.
Playing an instrument requires time and patience, application,
participation in performance activities and regular attendance at lessons brings success. My students not only participate in events sponsored by AAMTA a local organization of MSMTA,
but also in events sponsored by me or events supported by
other colleagues.
I consider myself fortunate to have a wonderful group of adults, from beginners to advanced players who get together monthly for a "Wine & Cheese Wingding".
We begin class w/duets for4 players and conclude
with those playing part or all of repertoire pieces that they are studying currently. It is great fun.

My Musical Influences
"No man is an island" and another "I am a part of all I have met"
Music is a living and breathing art form.
Unlike a finished painting, we create & re-create
each day anew.
I find inspiration in great performances,
working with great mentors,
but also, dramatically, in parts of the everyday,
things so subtle that they could be easily overlooked
a fresh nuance in lesson performance that a student has come to
or an insight or new understanding
that brings joy & satisfaction.
A favorite mantra:
"Music soars in the little lark, and the lark soars..."
-Elizabeth Barrett Browning
