About Me
With over 20 years of teaching, industry experience, and a masters from Harvard, I have been an enthusiastic and supportive piano, voice, and writing instructor for students of all ages. Nothing fulfills me more than to see and hear my students not only learning but truly enjoying music of any genre and in any way of performing because I know the positive impact that it has. What has further enhanced my music instruction is having the incredible experience of working with the legendary Record Plant Studios, Universal Music, and having been a long-time member of the The Recording Academy, the host of the Grammy Awards and Grammy U, which sponsors music programs for young people interested in a career in music. From Beethoven to the Beatles, or Beyonce, I take great joy and pride in teaching my students how to play and perform music, whether it's for a recital, a recording studio, or their rec room at home, where they can enjoy their own performance - and their most important fans will get to enjoy it, too :)
My Musical Education Background
From Harvard University to some of the most respected and admired musicians, producers, and composers, I have learned so much as a performer and teacher, which I am so glad to be able to share with my students.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Because of my diverse musical background - educationally, creatively, and professionally - I can teach piano, voice, and songwriting in many different genres, including classical, jazz, pop, R&B, hip hop, rock & roll, and musical theater.
Lesson Rates
My rates are $45/hour for in-person lessons and $35 for virtual lessons. For advanced bookings of 10 or more hours of lessons, the rates are discounted to $40/hour and $30/hour, respectively.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach students of all ages and all levels, from beginner to advanced.
My Certifications and Awards
It is incredibly gratifying to know that my students and their families appreciate the level of musical instruction and care that I bring to them - this is the best award that I could ever receive. I feel fortunate to have such positive testimonials that I can provide for potentially new students and their families should they request them.
