About Me
I am a professional voice teacher offering group and private lessons in vocal techniques and pedagogy. I am a member of MTMA and teach all ages from teen through adult. My specialties include many types of repertoire including classical, pop, country, and jazz standards.
My Musical Education Background
I have a Bachelor of Music from Cleveland State University and am currently working toward completion of a Masters in Music from the University of Akron. I have four years of experience teaching both youth and adult students.
Genres and Subjects Taught
My specialties include classical, pop, country, and the jazz standard repertoire from the Great American Songbook. I have successfully coached students to prepare for the regional NATS solo competition.
Lesson Rates
Rates begin at $20 per half hour.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Teaching beginning and advanced beginner students from age 12 through adult.
My Certifications and Awards
I am a member of Music Teachers National Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. I am also a member of Phi Kappa Lambda, the national music honorary society.
My Musical Influences
I have experience with all the classical repertoire required by beginning voice students and specialize in the repertoire of Broadway and the Great American Songbook. I am currently writing a textbook on the roots of the American jazz standard.
