About Me
I have been playing and teaching drumset and marching percussion for over thirty years. If you're looking to improve or master, in either category, then you've found the right teacher. You will learn to be a better, more versatile player, while learning to read percussion music at the same time.
I taught drumset at the Drummer's Collective in New York City for over five years. While in New York, I also worked in several music recording studios and played in many Jazz and Blues clubs.
Currently I play drumset with the Elkin Big Band, Elkin, NC, and Illusion Highway Band out of Mt. Airy, NC.
I taught marching percussion at The University of Maryland, Appalachain State University and the United States Naval Academy. I'm also a former member & arranger/instructor of the U. S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, Washington, DC.
