5 years ago with teaching my daughter. My main focus is
classical music as I believe classical music has the most potential
for teaching harmony, which is the essence of Western music.

I have been performing on and teaching the violin for more than 35
years. I have been a member of the 1st violin section of the
Portland Symphony Orchestra since 1989. I have performed with
virtually every musical arts organization in New England including
the Boston Symphony & Boston Pops Orchestra as well as
with the Orchestra of St. Luke's in NYC. I have also
played at major summer music festivals.
I am a highly experieced teacher who is devoted to inspiring both a
deep understanding and love of music. I
offer lessons in Piano as well as Music Theory and Music
Appreciation. I teach both children and adults of all levels in my

A private piano lesson for all levels and age is offered- Amature
to the Prodigy, six years old to the retiree. Individually designed
methods and teaching programs will be provided depending on each
students` goals and interests.
