About Me
I was born and raised in Texas and currently reside with my husband and three children in Grand Prairie, Texas. I am active in my church and involved in my community as well as schools my children attend. I believe strongly in striving for excellence in all things, having completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees with honors. I believe that my students should strive for excellence as well, and strive to offer them the opportunity to excel with patient and creative guidance. I also believe that children learn best when learning is fun and strive to find ways to teach children in a positive and motivating environment.
My Musical Education Background
Participated in National Piano Playing Auditions; studied with Joan Dearmond, Stephanie Evans and Maria Mclean. Currently working in conjunction with the Piano Journey Studio in Keller, Texas.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Teach classical, popular and church music using Faber and Faber, Alfred, and Bastien methods. Students learn the basics of note reading and simple improvisation techniques as well as theory in lessons. Students have the opportunity to perform in annual recitals.

30 minute lessons per month: $80 ///// 45 minute lessons per month: $120

I teach any age from beginner level to early intermediate.

Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University; Top ranking with National Guild of Piano Teachers Guild Auditions.
My Musical Influences
I have been surrounded by music my entire life and have a long history of musicians in my family. My great-grandfather was a violin teacher; my grandmother was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed performing throughout her life; and, my mother is an accomplished classical pianist, composer and teacher.
