About Me
Katy Stephenson is a Doctor of Musical Arts student at the University of Utah. She also holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Music from Brigham Young University-Idaho. During her doctoral studies, she received rigorous pedagogical training at all levels from beginners through undergraduate level violinists. She has taught beginning violinists at the University of Utah Preparatory Division and the violin minors at the University of Utah. She was a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square for 5 years, teaches private lessons, and regularly records for local artists. Katy has experience teaching students at all levels from beginners to college students and all ages from 4-65. She strives to maintain a respectful and nurturing teaching environment while providing a throrough technical foundation and instilling both a dedication to consistent effort and a love of music.

$50 per hour
Pre-Suzuki through Suzuki book 1: 30-minute lessons
Suzuki books 2-3: 45-minute lessons
Suzuki book 4 onward: 1-hour lessons
