About Me
I am a dedicated educational professional with 25 years experience teaching piano lessons and 10 years experience teaching as a trained Montessori teacher. I have a diverse backround in working with children, from being a nanny to a family of five in the South of France for a year, to teaching full time (55 students) on the island of Bermuda at the Bermuda Suzuki Music Academy (1989-92). I come from a family of teachers and musicians so I have grown up with a strong interest in supporting The Arts and education.
I have a classical backround but believe that learning and growth can take place with all kinds of music. I truly enjoy encouraging my students to develop their own musical expression after laying a solid foundation of technique with them. I believe in working with each student at their pace and their level of interest and ability to enable them to be their own best teacher.
