About Me
I am orgiginally from the Midwest, and have lived in Montana since 2015. I have been teaching private piano and organ lessons to children and adults for over 35 years. I am also a full time church pianist/organist, and have directed church choirs in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Montana.
My Musical Education Background
I started taking piano lessons when I was five years old and started organ when I was ten. For ten years I competed in the National Federation of Music Clubs Auditions, earning 9 Superior ratings and 1 Excellent. I majored in Piano Performance at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and minored in Music Education.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach piano with a heavy emphasis on classical and sacred music, but I also teach other styles such as Jazz, Improvisation, New Age, Pop, etc. I encorporate Music Theory into all of my piano lessons as well.
Lesson Rates
Lessons are all PRIVATE lessons. $30 - 45 minute lessons. $40 - hour lessons.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach children age 5 through Adult, Beginner through Advanced.
