About Me

I have been teaching private piano lessons for 22 years, and love it! I believe that lessons should be fun and that anyone can learn to play. I have taught children with many different emotional, mental, and physical disabilities. I am a certified school teacher and understand the importance of teaching according to learning style needs. Learning to play piano is fun! Research tells us that musicians are smarter, more social, and better adapted to handle the stress and pressures of life. Lessons are designed to provide an encouraging musical experience that brings joy, knowledge, skills and discipline to children, beginning to advanced. I teach at my home in Eagle, Idaho, near Floating Feather & Highway 55.

My Musical Education Background

*I took lessons from age 7-18 *I studied with various Master Teachers through MTNA. *I competed in local, state, national, and international festivals. *I studied at Courtney Music Conservatory, Canada, during the summer of my senior year in high school.

Genres and Subjects Taught

I teach both traditional lessons (using methods books,) and playing using chords.

Lesson Rates

•Tuition is billed on a monthly basis •$70 per month for four 30 minute lessons •Months with five weeks allow for make-up lessons •A bill will be attached to the student’s notebook the last lesson of the month

Beginning to Advanced students, age 5 to 18.

My Musical Influences

I love the great composers! They are brilliant and have provided us with great musical foundations. I also love contemporary composers, especially those leading the way with new styles of music! Most students really love playing hits from the radio, movies, church, etc., and I think it's wonderful to include these songs in their learning!
