About Me
Hi, there! My name is Janice and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2013 and have loved helping my students learn to play their favorite songs on the piano, pass to the next piano level with a perfect score, and learn how to read music. I love teaching piano; it’s my passion. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
I have a lot of spots open on my schedule so I can accommodate any student as soon as possible. We can start yours or your child’s piano class as soon as today! I would love to be your piano teacher. I speak English and Spanish.
Classes are private; students will be playing songs on the piano in no time! They will also be able to learn how to read music. My studio is in Port Saint Lucie and I also teach online. Check out my prices below.
I have been giving piano lessons for 5 years. I have worked with kids, teens and adults.
In addition to teaching piano, I teach music theory. This is included in the piano class price. Since students will learn theory they will never forget how to play something. They will understand what all the symbols in their music sheet mean and will know how to execute them.
Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic songs and learn how to read music, and as time goes on you'll be able to play difficult songs from any time period and learn songs you've always wanted to learn. I typically use Bastien Piano Basics books, and have the following tools available for your lessons: piano, practice worksheets, and individual lessons tailored for each student. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to work with you!
My Musical Education Background
I have studied music and piano for 10 years. I have a Piano Diploma and a Music Theory Diploma from Allegro School of the Arts.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach all music genres from all musical periods. In addition to teaching the piano, I offer music theory lessons with the piano lessons.
Lesson Rates
Port Saint Lucie studio: I charge $30 for 30 minutes of class and $45 for a 60 minute class. This is a discount from the typical $75 an hour. I also offer discounts for 2 hours of class a week.
Online class: Same price as studio class.
Tuition is due in full the first class of the month. There are 4 monthly classes at the same day and time. If your class falls on a holiday, you will be allowed a make up day and time. If you cannot come to the make up class you will lose that class. Discounts are available for biweekly classes.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I have worked with students from all ages. Some have been beginners while others were intermediate or advanced.
