About Me

Megan Meade
Teacher. Performer. Musician.

I absolutely love music! I graduated Summa Cum-Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Music degree from Biola University, LaMirada, CA. I've formally studied music for 16 years. Some of that time has been learning from jazz great Rique Pantoja and grammy nominated latin jazz pianist/educator, Mark Levine. I've been involved in contemporary church/Christian music for over 10 years. I've also enjoyed playing in various jazz combos as well. That experience has included piano playing, keyboard playing, some Hammond B3, vocal accompanying, and working with instrumental teams of various levels (beginners to advanced). I love working with all ages but specialize in beginning and intermediate aged students. It's my desire to see all of my students excel in their piano playing abilities, and to "develop the music within them," using either the piano or keyboard as a tool to mine out their talent, to carry as a beautiful gift throughout their entire life, regardless what career they may choose.

My Musical Education Background

Music Experience:

* Studied with Grammy nominated Latin Jazz Pianists, Mark Levine and Rique Pantoja.
* 20 years of piano (jazz, contemporary, and classical)
* 16 years of live performing as well as jazz ensembles
* 14 years of piano/keyboard on a contemporary worship band
* 6 years of symphonic band performing (Saxophone)
* 6 years of steady vocal and choral training
* Piano and keys studio recording

I teach many different genres which include: classical, jazz, pop, worship/church music, contemporary, blues, folk, etc.

I specialize in jazz piano and keyboard lessons.

Lesson Rates

I offer in-home lessons at competitive rates:

• 30 minute lesson - $55.00
• 45 minute lesson - $75.00
• 60 minute lesson - $85.00

Ages / Skill Levels Taught

I specialize in beginning and intermediate lessons. I love to work all ages, but I specialize teaching with children.
