My Musical Education Background

I have a Bachelor's Degree in music education along with teaching credentials for both public school and private lessons. I have experience in many different instruments, but my major instruments are piano, guitar and voice. I have years of experience teaching kids and adults from all different backgrounds. I also have experience in computerized teaching and arranging songs for the skill level of my students.

I am a member of MTNA, and have seen students attend various competitions including Piano Guild, Scale Olympics, and recitals twice a year. My achievements are in the success of my students!

My Musical Influences

I started taking music lessons when a music teacher moved in near my home when I was a kid. She taught me all styles of music including church music and arranging music. I learned how to play for choirs in my school and also for competitions and talent shows as a kid. I started teaching while in college and learned how to teach many different instruments while getting my degree. I would say now my music influences our multi-cultural and multi-leveled so that I can help each student learn to play what they want to play while giving them the skills they need.
