My name is Dr. Joseph Merkel, and I would be delighted to guide you on your journey into the world of music. With over 20 years of experience teaching piano, I have worked with students of all ages, from young children discovering music for the first time to adults pursuing a lifelong dream. My background includes formal training in music theory, performance, and pedagogy, supported by a Doctorate in Music Education/Performance. These experiences have given me not only technical expertise but also a deep appreciation for how music can enrich our lives.

As a teacher, I pride myself on tailoring lessons to each student’s unique interests, goals, and learning style.
