3. Individualized music instruction
Whether your child wants to start playing their first notes on piano... you are a teenage guitar player looking to start a band... a college student looking for help with their music major... or an adult who never got the chance to fulfill their dream of playing the drums... we personalize lessons to accomplish your dreams. This ensures that YOU get to choose what your goals are, and meet them in a way that works best for you.
4. Our unique approach to teaching music
We approach learning music like learning a new language. As kids we first learn how to talk and only later on we then learn how to read and write. In the Atlanta School of Musical Arts we apply that same approach by first teaching you how to play your favorite songs. As you learn more songs we will dig deeper and teach you the theory behind the music, leading to a solid musical foundation. Throughout our teaching experience we have found that our approach gets our students excited about their lessons - simply because they are having fun!
5. Learn foundational skills
We incorporate music theory, ear training, and sight reading into your music lessons, right along with your new performance skills. Music lessons are taught in an innovative way to keep students learning and growing, whether you are a young child, teenager or an adult. We use various types of media to spark creativity and keep lessons interesting as you learn your instrument.
6. A proven track record of excellence
Visit our testimonial page to see what our students are saying about us. The Atlanta School of Musical Arts has a proven track record of offering quality music lessons for Guitar, Piano, Voice, Drums, Bass, Saxophone and Trumpet in the Atlanta metro area year round. Our full time mission is to inspire musicians by providing high-quality music lessons, trusted by families since 2006.
7. Performance opportunities
Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in music lessons is really worth it is to have their child perform in a concert.
We give all of our students the opportunity to perform in home concerts at least once a year. A home concert is a small, three to five songs performance in the student’s home in front of the student’s friends and family (if the student is shy, the concert is for close family only). By performing in a home concert the student get to be the star of the neighborhood for the afternoon! It’s a great way to celebrate and recognize the student’s efforts, and it provides a clear and fun destination for the student’s goals. Our experienced teachers will guide you for every step of the way, so you can feel confident that each home concert that you host will be a huge success.
8. Flexible, open lesson schedule
We offer music lessons six days a week from morning to late at night to accommodate your busy schedule.
10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. on Sundays.
9. Quarterly progress reports
We offer quarterly progress reports for all our private lesson students.
Each student receives a quarterly progress report that lets the students and parents know exactly what they are working on in their music lessons, what they need to improve on, and the goals that we have in the next upcoming months of music lessons. This ensures that a student is guided clearly and that parents can help encourage the student through their music lessons experience.
In addition, our teachers talk to the parents on a regular basis and keep them posted on how their child is doing. That way the students get the most out of their music lessons and the parents know how to help guide and encourage them.
10. Month to month music lessons
Inspiring Music Lessons does not require semester minimums for music lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis. All of our music lessons for guitar, piano, voice, drums, bass, saxophone and trumpet are on a month-to-month basis.
If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long term contract.
My Musical Education Background
B.M. Berklee College of Music, Summa Cum Laude
Genres and Subjects Taught
We teach all styles including Rock, Pop, Country, R&B, Hip-Hop, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Gospel, Classical and Electronic music.
PIANO LESSONS
(for ages 4 and up)
Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from contemporary to classical music. Whether you want to learn Alicia Keys or Bach, our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. Through incorporating your favorite songs into your lessons, our piano faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory. You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons - a simple full size electronic keyboard will suffice. Our piano teachers have warm personalities and enjoy sharing their love for the piano with you.
GUITAR & BASS LESSONS
(for ages 5 and up)
Our guitar teachers teach rock, pop, blues, metal, country, and classical guitar lessons on electric, acoustic and bass guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on their favorite songs using simple bass lines, chords, melodies, sight reading and theory. Our primary goal is to teach you how to play your favorite songs, but we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept. We use a variety of guitar method workbooks to accomplish this and encourage students to bring their CDs or iPads to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.
VOICE LESSONS
(for ages 5 and up)
Our voice teachers primarily focus on popular music. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, R&B, country, gospel or jazz singer, then we have the right voice teachers for you. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique voice.
DRUM LESSONS
(for ages 6 and up)
Our drum instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, gospel, funk, blues and many other styles. Drum language can be complex and our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve your speed and comfort. All drummers bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons and theory is encouraged. We have many drum students who play in local bands be it in rock clubs or their local churches.
SAXOPHONE & TRUMPET LESSONS
(for ages 8 and up)
Our saxophone and trumpet teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Not all band directors have the chance to work with every individual student in school bands. That is where our private instruction is of its most value. Our faculty will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, tone production, and will work with you on your school band and orchestra music, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons as well. Our saxophone and trumpet teachers have warm personalities and enjoy sharing their love of music with you.
ADVANCED CLASSES
(for ages 14 and up)
Throughout the year there are many different classes offered to help our students take their abilities to the next level. Some of the subjects include: Songwriting, Home recording, Ear Training, Music Production, Improvisation and much more! When I first started having lessons with Mostai all I knew about guitar were basic chords. However, after about a year and a half of lessons my skills have grown way beyond what I thought I would ever be able to accomplish as a guitar player. Mostai's knowledge on guitar, music theory, recording and teaching have opened my eyes to what It takes to be a professional guitarist in today's music world. His knowledge helped me with playing songs like "while my guitar gently weeps" and "September" to understanding what various kinds of guitar pedals do. The lessons with Mostai have given me the tools I needed to become the guitarist I have always dreamed of being. Thanks for everything!

I can't say enough about Mostai. I hired him for two things: as a person who could help me with my songwriting and as a guitar and music instructor for my child. Mostai is an expert and consummate professional. Being that he has actually played with some big bands and recording artists, he teaches you what it really takes to make it out there in the recording world. With my songs Mostai took the time to listen and tell me what the recording industry is looking for today. It changed the entire way I write songs. Mostai also goes the extra mile making sure you or your child gets more than what you have paid for, with tips and things that he has learned along the way as a professional musician. At the same time he also teaches you the theory so that you can do it all. If you need tutoring of any kind relating to music don't just hire a teacher, hire someone who has paid his dues and actually been out there on stage with the top recording artists and has mastered it in school also. His knowledge is worth more than his fees, don't miss out on it.

Our family lived in Atlanta for five wonderful years. When we were looking for a guitar teacher for our son we were fortunate to find Mostai. Mostai had a way that brought out the best in our son. He has a talent to encourage his students, and he teaches them not just how to play, but also the theory behind the music. He truly aims to bring out the best from his students and is successful at doing so. Now we live in Israel, our son continues to advance and today appreciates Mostai even more. Mostai is a special person and teacher. Anyone who will study under him will realize what we are talking about."
