Encourages a real passion for learning music
Educated at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA;
And real-world experience gigging throughout New England for over 30 years.
I started teaching guitar and piano at music stores and schools in 1982, after finishing my studies at Berklee. In 1996, I began teaching at my home studio in Londonderry, NH; and I now have students from Londonderry and the surrounding towns of Windham, Litchfield, Derry, Manchester, Hudson, Nashua, Chester, Auburn and Pelham.
My teaching philosophy is to try to help the student to first build strong fundamentals in understanding melody, harmony, rhythm and reading. From there, I try to give the student the skills to be able to play any style of music that they may be drawn to; be it classical, rock, jazz, blues, folk, country or even polkas!
