Brian was a breath of fresh air when we found him 4 years ago. I was looking for a teacher for my son who could work well with him. Brian has been professional and enthusiastic and wonderful with my son. He truly wants him to succeed. The lessons focus on technique and applying those techniques. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to music theory. He takes the time to explain theoretical concepts and reasons for fingerings, the history of the piano, etc. The pieces they work on are songs kids want to play, many of which Brian has composed himself. He has the knack of finding just the right the right piece to be challenging, but not overwhelming. Brian's a great teacher and I am so glad he's giving my son the gift of music.
