About Me
I love to teach people how to play piano! My job is to keep you motivated! I'll teach whatever it takes to keep you coming back. I specialize in beginners–youngsters or adults. I teach how to read music, keyboard patterns and harmony, and any level of repertoire or theory you could be interested in. I've been teaching for 35 years, and am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and a Florida State Certified Teacher of Music. My Musical Influences
"I've never known a musician who regretted being one. Whatever deceptions life may have in store for you, music itself is not going to let you down." --- Virgil Thompson. My parents always played music in our home; uncles with great singing voices; singing around the piano for the holidays; two excellent pre-collegiate teachers who gave me excellent pre-collegiate training; scholarships to study music; participation in the BCMTA/FSMTA/MNTA local, state and national music teachers groups with a high standard of excellence; a fabulous coach at FAU where I achieved a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy and Performance. I just love playing Bach in the morning!

I was referred to Peggy by one of my friends. I have not played the piano for sometime and Peggy knew exactly the areas that I needed to improve my technique. I am playing scales, chords and learning about theory again (not as bad as I thought). She does a great job of filling in all the gaps from my previous training. She is very reliable, a great communicator and her passion for teaching is evident by how quickly I am progressing! I take a 45-minute lesson each per week at a very reasonable cost and I can only say that I am so glad that Peggy is my teacher...she is amazing!
