About Me
Hi! I'm Rachel and I am returning to teaching after a 5 year hiatus. I began teaching in 2009 at the Long Ridge Music Center in Stamford, CT, and then went on to run my own private studio for 10 years. I taught over 40 students per week, of all ages and levels. My passion has always been musical theatre, and after the pandemic, I started to get opportunities in musical theatre and I gave up teaching for a while.
I just moved back to NY after a year and a half in Tampa, FL where I music directed for Norwegian Cruise Line. Prior to that, I was a cocktail pianist on Holland America Line. I have also performed and music directed for several amusement parks across the country including Dorney Park, Six Flags Over Texas, and California's Great America. I play keyboards and music direct for musical theatre productions both in the NY tristate area and regionally, most recently at Interlakes Summer Theatre in New Hampshire.
I'm very excited to begin teaching again! I tailor all lessons to each individual student. I teach classical and pop/rock and emphasize technique, ear training, and sight reading.
