About Me

Hello! My name is Rebekah Dixon. I have been teaching General Music in the Hamilton City School District for the past 7 years. Prior to teaching in the public school system, I traveled the world as a missionary, using music as a tool to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in countries where other missionaries were unable to enter. I am also one of the keyboardists and choir directors at my church. Teaching others to express their creativity and passion through music is a great love of mine. I have been teaching beginner/intermediate piano lessons since 1997. I desire to not only teach students to play the piano well, but to provide them with the tools to create music of their own.

My Musical Education Background

Taught beginner/intermediate piano lessons since 1997

Studied music at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Education with a focus on the voice.

Taught General Music for past 7 years in Hamilton, Ohio

Directed Childrens Choirs for past 10 years.

Lesson Rates

Middletown, Ohio (CityGate Studios):
- $18 per 30 minute lesson (family discount offered to parents of multiple students)
- Lessons are paid for upfront in 4-pack sessions ($72) and offered on an ongoing basis.
- Lessons times vary. Contact instructor for specific lesson time.

Hamilton, Ohio (Fitton Center for the Creative Arts):
- 30 minute lessons
- Lesson prices vary and are paid for upfront in 4-pack sessions ($72 for 4 lessons for members [$18/lesson]; $88 for 4 lessons for non-members [$22/lesson])
- Membership information can be found at (contact me)
- Lessons offered on Mondays and Saturdays. Contact instructor for specific lesson times.

My Musical Influences

There are many things that have influenced me in music. My family and church are the most influential entities that have made an impact in my love for music. My father taught me from a very early age to sing and harmonize with other family members as he played the piano. My parents are also responsible for my early start in piano as well as for cultivating a huge interest and love for music. I have always been involved in musical events with my church, from worship to musicals and cantatas. I currently am the pianist for my church and sing on the praise team.

I was also influenced a great deal at college and while traveling the world with a music ministry. Both have helped to develop my passion for music and for helping others express themselves through music.
