About Me
I have a love for playing and teaching guitar. Teaching music is first about the student, second about the music. My goal is to teach guitar and make the process of learning fun along the way, because it should be fun. I meet each student at their level and style of learning, while keeping their individual goals in mind. I'll design a personalized course of study for you or your child that will help you achieve results and get you on your way to reaching those guitar-playing goals. I offer quality guitar lessons for people looking to make real progress in learning to play guitar.
I have taught elementary students for 8+ years and thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with children, as well as adults. During my time teaching I created an after-school music program which culminated in several performances at the end-of-the year talent shows the school would put on.
I enjoy guitar as I do teaching. Combining the two is irresistible to me. Launching Strummin' Along Guitar Instruction is my dream-job.
Aside from my love of music, guitar and teaching I enjoy being the father of three wonderful children.

Genres and Subjects Taught
Created an after-school music program in the elementary school where I taught. This program included basic music instruction in various instruments (guitar, bass, keyboard and percussion), music theory, song structure, practice and performance. Our band performed as the opening act in the end of the year talent shows. Great fun!
As a guitar teacher I help students lay a foundation of important fundamentals that are valuable to all guitar players. While students learn these fundamentals I like to incorporate the musical styles that the student wants to learn along the way (blues, folk, rock, country, classical, etc.). After laying a foundation of knowledge and skills students can focus even more on the styles they want.
