Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Suzuki Piano specializes in the very young, age 3-5. Children can be taught music naturally at a very young age and become proficient musicians about the same time they are learning to read books. After a firm musicality is established and they are speaking "piano" fluently, reading piano music is introduced and married with continued Suzuki performance and ear training.
Suzuki Piano also is wonderful students who have a had a poor piano experience or never ignited a passion for the instrument in previous studios. Lessons lend themselves to true musical discovery and mastery without using the music initially. Students learn that they can learn music and love it again!
Suzuki Piano is excellent for students with autism, ADHD and other special challenges. Students with special physical challenges will find a voice through the Suzuki approach. They will have a forum of expression and point of pride in themselves.
Suzuki Piano is nurturing for parents who are striving to be a good practice partner for their child or for those who'd like a second chance to learn the piano. Many parents are eager students in this method. Any and all fear melts away!
