About Me
Hi, my name is Sue Lewis, pictured on the violin in my profile picture.
I am a strings specialist, pianist, composer, professional musician, and teacher. I earned my music degree from Portland State University in 2006. In 1996 I earned two Medals of Distinction from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London, England for violin and music theory. In 2001, I received the Merit Award from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London, England for viola performance.
I've had the privilege of studying with some of the best musicians in the country such as viola with Joel Belgique and Wendy Peterson, and violin with Carol Sindell, Robert Hertzel, Lisa Gowdy, Hollis Taylor, Carol Winters and George Shiolas. I've studied cello with Jerry Bobbe and upright bass with Dr. Donald Appert.
I've had the opportunity of performing in a great variety of genres, such as musical pit orchestras, string quartets, the Vancouver Symphony, plus rock, jazz, tango, Middle Eastern and bluegrass bands in the Vancouver, Portland Metro area. My eclectic background makes me very versatile in my approach.

Weekly half hour lessons: 129.00 per month
Weekly hour lessons: 258.00 per month
Weekly lessons include a once a month ensemble class
No extra charge for a 5th week in the month
Group lessons: Weekly classes, 66.00 per month, 1 hour and 15 minutes
