About Me
Svetlana Krasnova received her Master's degree in Piano Performance and Doctor in Musical Arts degree in Collaborative Piano from the Gnesin Academy of Music ( Moscow, Russia).
As an active performer Ms.Krasnova appears regularly as a soloist and a collaborative pianist in recitals and chamber music concerts in the United States as well as abroad. Ms.Krasnova has many years of teaching experience. Currently, she is Adjunct Piano Faculty at the College of DuPage, while performing various recitals in the Great Chicago area. Ms.Krasnova is also on the faculty of the summer Cremona International Music Academy, Italy.
A combination of both extensive teaching and performing experience make for a special and individualized approach to piano instruction. Whether the purpose of studying piano is an enlightenment and pleasure or preparation for recitals, juries, auditions,Ms.Krasnova have the expertise, experience and patience to offer each student a individually tailored program to achieve their particular goals. She works well with students of all ages and levels, beginner to professional. Ms.Krasnova is very passionate about teaching, and she is highly dedicated to her students.
The emphasis of her teaching is on building a proper technique and an appropriate musicianship, while enhancing student's knowledge of music theory. Her students participate in Studio Recitals, which are held twice a year, participate in national competitions, summer music camps and Academies.
