Cynthia was one of the most positively influential people in my life. She took the time to understand my learning style and offer me support. While she is a little stern, she is funny, as a good music teacher should be! I was an older student (hence the discipline), though I should note she is very good with youngsters. She pushed me to do my very best, relentlessly driving form and technique; after learning to play technically very well, I could soar on the music. Thank you, Mrs. Kam! 20 years later I still count you as a great mentor and dear friend.
