About Me
I love teaching people how to play the piano! I have been doing this since college. I moved to Wauwatosa from Omaha, NE just four years ago, so my studio is still growing. I grew up playing in the auditions sponsored by the National Guild of Piano Teachers and the National Federation of Music Clubs and I now enter students and adjudicate for both of these fine organizations. I have joined the Milwauke Music Teachers Association and the Milwakee Area Piano Teachers Association and my students participate in their events, also. My students all learn how to read and count music. As they develop, I follow their musical interests. Some love classical music, which I have every student play. Some students love jazz and so do I! Some students are creative and want to write their own music and I will support those efforts. If you want to play Christmas songs, hymns or folk songs, I will teach you how to do it! Playing the piano is so much fun (and sometimes a little hard work, too). I believe that high school piano students can use their music at school where it offers a social, fun activity, at church where they learn an important lesson in offering their musical talents, and home where they can entertain or just express themselves and relax or work off anger. Piano lessons is much better than having to go to a therapist!
