·      I currently teach Piano at and am the Chairperson of the Music, Movement and Dance Department at Mount Mary University.

·      Served as the Director of Education at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for nine years.

·      Served on the Piano faculty at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for eighteen years.

·      Served on the Piano Faculty at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, Minnesota for fourteen years.

·      Master of Music, Magna Cum Laude (Piano) University of Wisconsin at Madison.

It is my pleasure to teach students of all ages and levels.  I have a long history of student success, enjoyment and retention.  My philosophy is to identify each student's learning style, abilities and interests and to teach to the individual.  I use a comprehensive approach and incorporate theory into each lesson.  

My Certifications and Awards

·      Many of my students have moved on to the WSMA State auditions. 

·      Several of my students have pursued music in college and have had the honor of winning concerto competitions.

My Musical Influences

My piano teachers: Linda Gillette, Phyllis East, Howard Karp and Ellsworth Snyder.

My favorite pianists: Vladimir Horowitz and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli.

My mother, LaVona:  The best of public school vocal music teachers who shared her love of music with me.
