About Me
My interests include of course lots of music particularly the guitar both acoustic and electric. I play in a classic rock band, also in a duo, and at a church in a praise and worship band. I actively teach and enjoy seeing my students growth and enjoyment as they begin their journey with the guitar. Advanced students like using the many riffs and solos I've learned over my career to incorporate with their own leads.. I use a simple and fun approach with younger students to develop good basic technique avoiding common bad habits. My goal is musical growth and enjoyment in a respectful environment for all students of all ages!,
My Musical Education Background
I started talking guitar lessons in Chicago Illinois at the age of 12. I played guitar at local area churches and had my first band in the 8th grade. I started playing professionally in rock bands and polka bands in high school gaining a following and earning money. In college, I learned to play Jazz guitar and the chords and technique needed to perform at this level!! I toured at age 19 in a duo with a country artist from Nashville and later out of Chicago with a premiere show group " A Touch of Brass". Upon moving to Colorado, I have played in many bands, and taught at various music studios as well as at home.. My students value my experience and respectful learning environment catered to each individuals level of experience..
Genres and Subjects Taught
Guitar Lessons for beginners to advanced. Blues, Classic Rock and Country. Ages 10 to Adult. Emphasis on chord structure and flat picking. Beginning note sight reading and basic scales.
Lesson Rates
Rates are 45.00 dollars per 45 minute lesson. Lessons are once a week. Payment for the full month in advance of monthly lessons. No contract with me as your satisfaction is my desire!!!
