Joyce Valentine, a Juilliard School of Music Graduate, brings more than 30 years of experience to you. She cultivates the love and passion of each student from beginner through advanced. As a member of the Music Teachers National Association, her teaching style involves:

Developing piano technique

Learning more about music theory
Performing in group lessons and recitals

My Musical Influences

I began piano lessons with my mother, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, at the age of three. Subsequently my piano technique and musical style were later developed by my instructors who I fondly refer to as the three R's: Richard McClanahan in New York City, Richard Gregor in Westport Connecticut, and Richard Cass in Kansas City Missouri. Other teachers include Kathrine Parker at Juilliard Pre-College Division, and Adele Marcus and Ania Dorfmann at the Juilliard School.
