About Me
I love kids! Motivating them to reach their musical goals is delightful! I have found they respond to contemporary methods, music, and of course incentives like stickers and prizes for practice! It is very satisfying to me to watch their weekly progress.
My piano and voice students, kids and adults, are my friends; I enjoy getting to know them and their other interests. I teach in my home and parents are always welcome to accompany their piano students to their half-hour lessons weekly.
My education and experience as a music teacher in various settings keep me keen to the changes in our kids' "culture" and demands placed on them scholastically; we are able to manage that and see consistent progress toward desired musicianship skills.
Our annual Christmas recital is not a scary, formal event; it is a family fun evening and the most timid children have looked forward to the celebration with their favorite Christmas music!
Teaching is not a hobby, but a major part of my life and vocation; I work with children's music in my church and with needy children in the area, giving them this important expression of creativity and happiness.

Policy Information
Personal Commitment
My formal education in music includes a college minor in music with emphasis in voice training, including music theory and piano studies. My informal education involves 30 years of music application in various teaching situations. More subjectively, my love of teaching helps me to inspire my students to achieve their goals.
Because music has a broad appeal to every age group and a wide variety of expressions, which are as individual as the student, I try to provide basic understanding of the instrument, whether the voice or piano (keyboard), along with instruction in the development of skills that will help each student succeed with their personal goals for musicianship.
Proper Priority
I endeavor to be available for all scheduled studio classes, and expect students to do the same. The study of music involves much more than financial investment; it requires the investment of personal time required to develop skills as well.
Without a sufficient amount of time set aside each week for practicing your instrument, you cannot expect to advance. Studio time is for the purpose of reviewing the work you have done during the week and to help you progress on the instrument (piano or voice). So you will need to make your music studies a priority in your week, several times a week.
Payment Policy
Lessons will be scheduled weekly for one half hour at a time convenient for the student and teacher. The fee for 4 piano classes a month is $70.00, for 4 voice classes, $75.00, payable at the first lesson of each month. I do not teach the fifth week of the month. Holiday schedules will be addressed as they occur.
The monthly fee for your music instruction must be considered a “reservation” of the instructor’s time. A telephone call is appreciated when a student cannot be present for his or her scheduled lesson. Of course, I will credit your account if I am unavailable to teach a lesson. Weather will also be a consideration for credit if you are not able to arrive safely.
I am honored to serve as your private music instructor.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Formal private voice instruction; beginner to advanced piano classes
Lesson Rates
Lesson rates for piano classes are $70.00 for 4 one-half hour lessons each month; $70.00 for voice classes, payable as a monthly fee at the first lesson of each month. This fee reserves your place in my roster; the student takes responsibility for consistent attendance to get the most out of their private music studies.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Students age 6 and above are welcome to join my piano roster; I am not qualified to teach younger children who do not know their numbers and are unable to read a little. I have had great results with older beginners in their early teens or early fort...fift...sixtys...using a different system that allows them to play with satisfaction very quickly.
My voice roster is reserved for the 'adult' voice - usually beginning no younger than 15 years of age, up to any adult age student who desires to sing.
Of course, it is a great joy to introduce a young student to the piano and then be involved in their music instruction through high school years. This level of study requires commitment through many changes and educational challenges; I am happy to say that I have been able to help many students reach this intermediate/advanced level in their piano studies.
My Certifications and Awards
I have literally been involved in formal music training since I was 7 years old through elementary, middle and high school years, honors choirs, state competitions, culminating in my college training, with emphasis in choral music. Choral and instrumental music are a part of my life on every level. As a church musician, I have played piano, keyboard, and classic organ for many years. I have also directed children's, youth, and adult choirs in simple to complicated cantatas and city-wide thematic programs such as patriotic celebrations.
In outreach to the community, I have made keyboard lessons available gratis to project housing children and involved them in fun musical outreaches like Christmas caroling, etc.
As private voice instructor, I have prepared high school students to receive college scholarships for their vocal expertise.

Ms. Noe teaches both of my children. Not only are they growing, thriving piano players under her guidance but they love going to lessons! She inspires them to grow and learn at each lesson. You can't go wrong with Carol Noe.

Ms. Noe was my first piano teacher. I took lessons from her for several years before my family moved away. She is a very talented musician and teacher. I loved going to piano lessons and was motivated by her to practice at home on my own. She instilled a love of music in me that has never gone away. Thank you Ms. Noe!
