About Me
Hello! I'm a musician, composer and educator specializing in creativity development and a holistic approach to teaching music. I teach all ages and special needs students as well. Lesson plans are unique to individual goals and all styles are taught with an emphasis on building a solid foundation of musicianship and having fun along the way! I also am a published author of original songbooks for learning about multiculturalism through music. More information can be found online through my website.
My Musical Education Background
I have a degree in Music Composition from The California Institute of the Arts and studied extensively at Berklee College of Music and The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, I have recently earned a diploma in Sound Therapy which will be applied to creating new projects, teaching methods and expanding my music studio practice. I actively participate in Professional development programs and also conduct ongoing research in the field of music, arts education as well as healthcare.
Genres and Subjects Taught
All styles/genres taught including jazz, classical, rock/pop and world music for all ages. Subjects taught include general repertoire and technique and musicianship (includes ear training, solfege, theory and analysis). Also, arranging of your favorite tunes is always fun to do, as well as playing creative games focusing on improvisation. Composition and songwriting are introduced and included as part of the curriculum as requested.
Lesson Rates
In-home rates are $35/30 minute lesson and $60/hour.
In-studio rates are $25/30 minute lesson and $40/hour.
A Monthly, discounted rate is offered if paid upfront in full.

Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I am open to teaching all ages. However, I need to get a feel of where the student is developmentally upfront because there are prerequisites required for my classes. That said, I generally accept children ages 6 and up. I especially enjoy teaching adults as well and senior citizens. Small groups and families are welcome.
