About Me

Do you love to sing?
I offer private voice instruction. In a relaxed, fun environment.



I teach Somatic Voicework The LoVetri Method created by Jeanie Lovetri. This is a body-based method of vocal training which draws from many disciplines. It is based upon voice science and medicine as well as traditional classical vocal training, complementary modalities such as yoga, movement, dance, acting, and speech training, and various bodywork approaches.



There is no discrimination based on education, musical background and history, and disability (whether that be learning based or development based).



I am exploring all creative outlets in a safe, non-judgmental environment. I have an understanding that singing is an art that involves more than just using your mouth to create a pitch. I am exploring the creative thought processes that are required to not only sing, but to perform, and convey a message to an audience. I am internalizing emotion based on personal experiences, and learning to portray those emotions through singing.



It is my strongest belief that every person has the right to follow his or her dream and have unparalleled access to have the ability to pursue that dream.


My teaching also consists of these main elements:



Bel Canto Approach to Singing

* an impeccable legato production throughout the singer's (seamless) range

* the use of a light tone in the higher registers,

* an agile, flexible technique capable of dispatching ornate embellishments,

* the ability to execute fast, accurate divisions,

* the avoidance of aspirates and the eschewing of a loose vibrato,

* a pleasing, well-focused timbre,

* a clean attack, limpid diction, and

graceful phrasing rooted in a complete mastery of breath control.

Repertoire ranging from pop, musical theater, jazz, classical, opera, lied, art songs, & oratorio.

My Musical Influences

Everyone I have ever met has inspired me. The World is so full of amazing Voices and Stories. Some of my Favorites are: Pavarotti, Lena Horne, Tori Amos, Carrie Underwood, Audra Mc Donald, and Patsy Cline.
