About Me
I teach from Iris Hills Music Studio outside of Middletown. My teaching focuses on sensitive musical expression, technique, sight reading, and theory. Students learn pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods, in addition to their special interest (sacred, light jazz, folk). I use the Faber method with beginning students. Students learn scales in all the key signatures as part of their lessons.
I'm Colin Campbell, owner of the studio. I have been teaching piano to beginning and intermediate students for three years and teach both performance piano and accompaniment. In addition to teaching I am a church pianist, concert pianist and accompanist. I am active as a collaborative pianist and piano soloist in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. In addition to teaching piano, my piano performance work includes music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods, including folk, light jazz, and Broadway pieces. My piano repertoire includes both sacred and secular works.
