About Me
I teach part time because I have a passion for piano. I believe every person deserves a chance to learn to play an instrument.
My Musical Education Background
I started playing piano at age 11 and have played through out my life. I began teaching because there didn't seem to be many teachers in my area working with beginners. I am also a church musician.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach using the Alfred's Method. Alfreds offers theory, technic, recital pieces, hymns, patriotic, and many popular tunes.
Lesson Rates
Current rates are $20 per 30 minute private session, once per week.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach beginners of all ages.
My Certifications and Awards
My training in school was not in the music field, but I have been playing and teaching piano for more than twenty years. I am an accountant by trade.
My Musical Influences
I have had success teaching many students throughout the past twenty plus years.
