About Me
I've been a professional pianist for 30 years and received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Performance/Accompanying from the University of Akron. My professional accompanying credits include national tours of Broadway productions, performances with symphony orchestras, several musical theater productions as pianist and musical director as well as accompanying for music festivals. I've also served as music director for churches in South Florida as well as Seattle, and currently am the Director of Worship of Seattle First Presbyterian Church. I'm a certified Suzuki piano teacher, and have taught for 10 years. I also am a composer and a member of the American Society of Composers and Performers, and my work, "A Child's Garden of Verses--Six Settings," was performed by The Northwest Boy Choir and is being published by Boosey and Hawkes. My most recent composition, "Music on Christmas Morning," based on a 19th century poem by Anne Bronte, was performed by the Northwest Boy Choir with members of the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall, on December 23rd, 2012.

Harry has tremendous patience and has a wonderful way of making piano enjoyable to children. My daughter was not the most eager student but switching her piano teacher to Harry really made her enjoy piano. Over the last year with Harry, she now plays piano for fun, makes up new tunes and loves to show off the new songs she can play. We cannot thank Harry enough for giving her a gift that will serve her for her whole life.

“Our daughter has special needs and is challenged by a short attention span. Mr. Harry has been remarkable working with her and getting the most out of her during the class. He certainly has a gift for teaching and adapts the class to her learning style, still making it a fun experience. Thanks to Mr. Harry, our daughter loves playing the piano. Participating in recitals with other kids has also been a great boost to her self-confidence. We are very grateful to Mr. Harry for his patience and care.” -Smitha Vijayan

"Harry has been great for David since the start. He has a knack for working with young children, is extremely patient but firm when needs be, pays attention to details, and is always positive and encouraging. David can't wait to go to his piano lesson every week. Since he started 2 years ago at age 6 as a complete novice, David has improved by leaps and bounds under Harry's tutelage. We have no reservation whatsoever in recommending Harry to other families." -The Neese Family
