About Me
Kent Love graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and received his BME from East Carolina University. From 1976-78 he was a clinician with Corp Style Inc. and gave many marching percussion clinics across the southeastern U.S. from Texas to Virginia. Mr. Love studied percussion with Harold Jones(ECU) and Bill Shutters(Casper Troopers DCI). From 1978-1980 he was the percussion instructor and arranger for East Carolina University.
Through the years he has arranged for numerous college and high school percussion sections and has adjudicated for many Marching Band Contests throughout North Carolina. Retired band director at Randolph IB Middle School and, just completed his 30th season as percussion instructor/arranger for the East Mecklenburg Marching Eagles. Mr. Love is a professional member of MENC. He teaches private percussion, has performed with many church orchestras, as well as performs with the Winthrop Carolinas Wind Orchestra including 2 performances in Spain in 2006.
He resides in Matthews with his wife Robin Love of 32 years. They have two grown children.
