About Me

                                              Bio for Kim Larson

Difficulty Levels: beginners to advanced, adults and seniors welcome!

Music Styles:  all genres including classical, jazz, rock, blues, contemporary, improvisation, etc.

Kim Larson has operated private piano studios in Chicago and Door County, WI, with over 25 years experience.  Recently, she taught at the Bach to Rock School of Music in Northbrook, Illinois.  As a John Brown University graduate, she has just returned to the area and will continue her passion for teaching and finding what uniquely motivates her students.

Along with teaching, Kim has worked as a professional pianist in many diverse venues over the years.  She co-wrote a program on music history and performed for school assemblies throughout Northeast, WI with duo partner, Don Thompson.  Their original compositions were also featured on public radio’s program “Higher Ground”.  Other experiences include playing for professional theater,  gigging as solo pianist, church music and choir director, and co-founding/accompanying the Door County Children’s choir.  Kim looks forward to now establishing herself as a teacher and performer here in Northwest Arkansas!

Composing original piano/keyboard solos, accompaniments and arrangements ​
