About Me
I am a professor emerita in music from the University of Utah, where I taught piano performance majors and minors for over 40 years. I have a studio in my home with two Steinway grand pianos. I also teach online. I teach intermediate to advanced students. My program includes theory, technique, performance training, with an emphasis on repertoire building. I enjoy teaching very much and I love to help students achieve their musical goals and aspirations. I help students prepare for recitals, competitions and auditions. My studio includes students that are 11 years old all the way up to adult students. Each student is individually taught according to their level, and skill. Many students feel a lack of confidence when playing the piano and I work very hard to help them improve in that area. For more info, please visit my website at (contact me). You can also google me!

Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach theory weekly, and I have technique regimen that builds strong, fast fingers. I teach mostly classical repertoire. I work with students on confidence building and I prepare students for competitions, recitals and auditions. I do not require my students to perform, but I encourage them to share their music as much as possible. My program includes a strong emphasis on repertoire. I teach musicallity, interpretation and technical agility, awareness of musical style and performance skills.

The monthly tuition fee is $350 and lessons are an hour long. I do teach lessons every other week ($180 per month), but I strongly encourage students to take weekly lessons, thereby greatly increasing their progress. I teach in my studio and also online.
