About Me
Hello, and welcome to the Marana Piano Studio. My name is Jack Bakos and I truly enjoy playing and teaching piano. Get in touch for a free consultation and a free lesson.
My Musical Education Background
I have had many years of private lessons, was a piano music major at Rowan University in New Jersey, and have a Masters Degree in Education. I am a certified K-8 teacher.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach piano - any way you like it - classical, jazz, pop, rocknroll - from beginners to advanced students. Tell me what you want to learn and we'll map it out and get you there.
Lesson Rates
Individual Lessons are:
$25 for a 1/2 hour
$36 for 3/4 hour
$48 for an hour
If you pay in advance lessons are scheduled by the semester.
Currently: Monday & Thursday 1/2 hour lessons are $86 for 18 lessons Aug to Dec
Tuesday & Wednesday 1/2 hour lessons are $91 for 19 lessons Aug to Dec
Friday 1/2 hour lessons are $81 for 17 lessons Aug to Dec
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Ages 6 to 106, first graders and older, and beginners to advanced players.

My Musical Influences
From Bach and Amadeus to Herbie Hancock, I love well-played, beautiful music. My favorite rock band is the Allman Brothers. I once met their piano player, Chuck Leavell at a concert and he is one of the nicest, friendliest musicians you could ever meet. I took lessons from a private instructor who later played on many recordings as a sessions musician in NY, but most namedroppingly - none other than the late, great John Lennon, oh yeah and Yoko too. He's the piano player on Double Fantasy.
