About Me
Besides teaching private lessons, Monika especially enjoys performing chamber music. She has provided musical programs for organizations such as Artel Gallery, the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Guild, and has performed live on WUWF radio (88.1 FM). In collaboration with pianist Stephanie Womble, Monika represented District 1 of the Florida State Music Teachers Association by performing the Sonatina for flute and piano by Eldin Burton on the Independent and College Teachers' Recital at the annual FSMTA State Conference. She has played woodwinds for the Pensacola Little Theatre, and flute, piccolo, and alto flute for the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and the Choral Society of Pensacola. She is also involved in the Pensacola Symphony's Beyond the Stage program for community engagement and education. She plays harp with the Pensacola Harp Ensemble, and appears as a guest artist (flute and harp) on two CDs by Celtic band Sweet Prospect: Cold Frosty Morn and Lark Song.
