About Me

I am Dr. Sarah Heger. I have been giving piano lessons at my studio in Boulder since 1991. I teach adults and children of all ages,levels and abilities.

My Musical Education Background

I am a gold medalist Fellow of the Trinity College of Music, London and D.M.A. from the Hoschule fur Musik in Berlin.  I am Founder-President of the Clara Schumann Society. I have decades of experience in concertising as well as giving piano lessons to adults and children.

Genres and Subjects Taught

Piano Lessons at all levels, from beginners to the most advanced.  Theory lessons. I also prepare students for the Theory and performance examinations of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, as well as the Royal Academy of Music, London. I also teach Music History.

Lesson Rates

$20 for a half hour lesson for children.  $30 for a 45 minute lesson for adults.

Ages / Skill Levels Taught

From age 5 upwards. I also teach young adults, professions as well as retirees. Children also receive certification by taking the Performance and Theory Examinations of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto.

My Certifications and Awards

I am a gold medalist Fellow of the Trinity College of Music, London. Winner of the Lady Palamkote scholarship and gold medal. I was voted Best professional for the year 2015 bt Thumbtack.

My Musical Influences

I have the training of a concert pianist and studied with the renowned concert pianist Madame Olga Craen, herself a student of the immortal Alfred Cortot.
