About Me
Hello!!
I have been teaching piano for nearly 30 years and teaching online for nearly eight years (starting long before the pandemic). In 2022 I relocated my studio to the Springfield, Missouri area. I absolutely love introducing students to playing piano. My teaching style is positive and encouraging. I use an exciting and up-to-date piano curriculum through which I offer a complete music education including technique, music theory, ear training, sight-reading and music history.
I enjoyed homeschooling my two sons for six years. During that time I was active in a local home-school co-op as a volunteer teaching a variety of music classes. Before relocating, I enjoyed serving as Worship Leader, playing keys and singing, at my local church in Lakewood, Colorado.

My Musical Education Background
While growing up in a small town in Iowa, I took piano lessons from two local teachers from age five through high school. I studied piano and voice at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated with a BA in 1977.
Genres and Subjects Taught
Classical, pop, Christian worship keyboard.
Lesson Rates
30-minute in-person lessons are $20.00 paid monthly in advance. Longer lessons are available as needed for more advanced students.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach students from age five through adults of any age. The skill levels I teach range from absolute beginners to late intermediate students.
My Certifications and Awards
Bachelor of Arts in music from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN.
My Musical Influences
I love teaching both classical and popular music appropriate for the student's level I also enjoy helping students learn to play worship songs from chord sheets.
