About Me
I began my music education at the age of 7, and have studied music and received an Associates Degree in Music. I then began performing for many years in the Los Angeles, CA area. I then moved to Vancouver, WA, where I began my teaching career. From there, I moved to Hermiston, and joined the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and became State Certified.
My teaching covers a wide range of beginners to advanced students. The beginners, I use the Faber & Faber method, but will adjust to any needs the student has. The student has many opportunities to perform in Bach Festivals, Recitals, Ensemble Festivals, etc.
My Musical Education Background
I am State Certified with the OMTA (Oregon Music Teachers Association). I have been teaching for over 25 years including traditional teaching, theory, improvisation and composition.
Genres and Subjects Taught
For the beginners, I usually begin with the Faber & Faber, but will adjust for the student's needs. I am very familiar with all the different method books. For the intermediate to advanced, I cover all the time periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary) I also am set up for composition through computer imput.
Lesson Rates
$25.00 for a 45 minute lesson

AA Degree in Music, and Oregon State Certified with the MTNA. I have been on the State Board for several years, and been President over the District, and many other positions in the organization.

Many of my students have won many competitions and have made music a part of their lives.
