About Me
Hello! Learning to play the piano is a wonderful journey! When I was 5, I was fascinated with the magic of the piano and begged my mother for lessons. I have been playing, performing, and teaching ever since then, bringing me and everyone around me a true sense of happiness. And the challenge of it is so rewarding! There is literally no end to the music I can play! It pleases me immensely to be able to impart this gift to my students, something I have been doing for more than 40 years. I am now a grandmother of 6 — all of them musical — so I truly connect quite well with young people. Everyone has the right to make music in their own way, all you need is the desire! And of course a piano — or the promise of one —in good working order. I would love to talk with you!
Warmest regards, Paulette
My Musical Education Background
I started piano lessons at the age of 5 and have been playing and performing ever since then! I studied piano performance privately and at Oberlin College, Eastman School of Music, and Longy Conservatory and School of Music in Cambridge, MA. The latter is where I was so lucky to find my incredible mentor/teacher, Dr. Faina Bryanskaya, former Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy at Leningrad Conservatory, Russia. She named me ‘Master Teacher of Piano”, the title of which I am very proud. Most notably, Faina guided me to become the best pianist and teacher I can be.
